General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) - this is a link to the text of GATT at the Lex Mercatoria site.

World Trade Organization (WTO) - this link brings you to the portion of the WTO site from which you may download versions of several documents, including GATT and related agreements.

U.S. Customs on NAFTA - this link brings you to the portion of U.S. Customs' web site which concerns NAFTA.  The page includes links to the text of NAFTA and to U.S. Customs' rulings on NAFTA issues..

NAFTA Overview - this is an interesting article on NAFTA by Mr. Boris Kozolchyk, the Director of the National Center for Inter-American Free Trade.

Trade and Commercial Relations - links to conventions and treaties which affect international trade, including the commercial aspects of international transactions, as maintained by The Fletcher School at Tufts University.

International Conventions - this site provides links to a whole host of international treaties and conventions which affect international maritime trade.

International Conventions Signatories - this site provides a list of countries which have agreed to selected international trade and transportation conventions, including the Hague Rules, the Warsaw Convention, and to various revisions of these rules and conventions.

Title 19, U.S. Code- this is the link used by U.S. Customs for Title 19 of the U.S. Code (Customs laws)--the link leads to the Cornell Law site.

Title 19, Code Of Federal Regulations- this link brings you directly to the most recent version of Title 19 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) (Customs regulations).  If you need earlier versions, go to the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations link below.

U.S. Customs Rulings- from this page, you can search the full text of rulings issued by the Office of Regulations and Rulings at U.S. Customs Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and by selected ports.

Harmonized Tariff Schedule - a searchable database of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.

U.S. Code of Federal Regulations - the U.S. Government version of the CFR online.

International Convention on Simplification & Harmonization of Customs - this is a handbook prepared by the Customs Co-operation Council which includes texts of the body of the Convention and its 30 Annexes, with a Commentary in the form of notes printed after the relevant provisions. The goal of the Council is to achieve the highest degree of uniformity in the Customs systems of its Member countries.

U.S. Export Regulations- this is the official web site for the Bureau of Industry and Security of the U.S. Department of Commerce.  The site includes general guidance and provides access to export regulations.

U.S. Food & Drug Administration - this is official web site of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which promulgates rules regarding the importation of food, drugs and cosmetics into the United States.  the site

Federal Trade Commission Regulations (FTC) - the FTC is responsible for enforcing 37 separate laws concerning competition and consumer protection, many of which apply to imported goods.  This link brings you directly to the table of contents of the FTC's regulations.

UCP500 Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits - this link brings you directly to the portion of the Lex Mercatoria web site which sets forth the publication by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) whikch governs the interpretation of most international letters of credit.

UNCITRAL Web Site - the official site of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). Among other things, this site includes the text of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (the "CISG"), the United Nations Convention on the Limitation Period in the International Sale of Goods (the "Limitation Convention"), and the Model Law on Electronic Commerce.

Lex Mercatoria (International Trade/Commercial Law Monitor) - this is well-organized resource for research in International Law and Trade.  This site includes links to the text of most international treaties and model laws, international organizations, and links to several international commerce related sites. We recommend this site as a place to start your international trade related research.

Hieros Gamos International Trade - this link brings you directly to the Hieros Gamos international trade law site.

FindLaw International Law Site - this is the international trade portion of the FindLaw web site, a huge site for legal information on virtually any subject.

Cornell International Trade Law Materials - this portion of the Cornell Legal Information Institute site provides access to international trade-related information, including U.S. Customs laws, the Bureau of Export Controls, GATT, NAFTA and so forth.

The Fletcher School - this site includes multilateral treaties and agreements on trade and commercial relations, including GATT, the Treaty of Rome (European Economic Community), the Maastricht Agreement (European Union), the Patent Cooperation Treaty, the Universal Copyright Convention, and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

International Court of Justice (ICJ) - the International Court of Justice (ICJ), also known as the World Court, is located in the Hague (Netherlands). It is the principal judicial body of the United Nations.  This site offers the text (in both English and French) of the official judgments, advisory opinions, and orders which are received directly from the International Court of Justice.

American Society of International Law - ASIL's site includes links to several other international law and trade sites.
